Khizer and Bandealy

Section 1: Basic Information

Khizer and Bandealy is a litigation firm that specializes in civil litigation. Although the firm has an experience of almost 15 years, it has been operating under current leadership for the past one and a half years. Its office is based in Lahore but they take clients from Islamabad, Karachi, Sialkot and Faisalabad. It undertakes property, taxation, banking, intellectual property, white-collar crime, arbitration and family matters. The firm also undertakes some corporate work and works with SECP for compliance and filing.

Section 2: Structure of the Firm

It’s a small firm that has only three lawyers including 2 partners and 1 associate. There are no Accounts or Human Resources departments. There is no hierarchy among associates or partners.

Section 3: Hiring Mechanism

Internship: The firm offers unpaid summer internships. The interns are required to do practical work that includes research, court visits and studying case files. However, the court visits are limited due to the closure of courts in the summer.

Associate:Hiring is need basis only. The candidates are shortlisted based on the evaluation of their CVs and interviews. The candidates are hired at a salary of 25,000 to 30,000 PKR which can be increased significantly based on their performance. The firm does not offer any finder’s fee, commission or bonuses. Since the firm is very young it is yet to be decided if there is a partnership track at the firm.
