Section 3: Hiring Mechanism

Hiring procedure is same for Interns and Associates. Vacancies are advertised through word-of-mouth. Candidates are hired through evaluation of their CVs and interviews.

Internship: The firm offers all-year-long internships but usually, candidates join in the summers. There is no interview process for internships. Candidates are shortlisted based on their resumes and offered internships on a first come first serve basis. The internships are 2 weeks long and can be extended based on the performance of the candidate. Interns receive a stipend equal to the minimum wage. The interns are given responsibilities according to their competence and initiative.

Associate:Candidates are shortlisted for interviews after the evaluation of their resumes. There may be 2-3 interviews before a decision is reached. Once a position is offered to a candidate, they join as a ‘Trainee Associate’ (pre-enrollment) for a probationary period of six months. The firm offers a market competitive salary and the salary is subject to performance-based revision after the successful completion of the probation. The firm carries out an annual performance revision in which all aspects of an associate’s performance are reviewed and performance-based appraisals are given. The firm does not offer any commission, bonus or finder’s fee. The firm offers a partnership track to its associates.
